I've thought long and hard on this. I'm going out on a limb sharing, because I know there will be some that disagree on some of what I'm about to say. But with much prayer, and the urge to speak and not be silent, here it is.
My thoughts on our times that we are living through right now.
We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the evil powers of
Satan.
This might not be
‘persecution’ like others face in the world, but this is
oppression from the enemy, driven by fear.
“God has not given
us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love and a sound mind.” 2 Tim
1:7
That’s how the
devil operates. And he also loves to separate us and divide us.
Not to mention that
there is a lot going on politically that is wrong. Did you know we
are probably about 80% to becoming a socialistic society? Already
Canada has adopted a Cancel Culture. A cancel
culture very much like what happened when Hitler took over. If you
didn’t agree with the new normal of the day, you had to keep your
mouth shut or face the dire consequences.
Sound familiar?
And right now we have laws that are
being put in place that don’t even line up with our constitutional
rights. Which means, the laws don’t agree with THE LAW of the land.
Our country was founded on freedom. You’ve all hear ‘True north
strong and free’. Well we are not free any more. Yes you can argue
that it’s because of the C.V. and because it’s all for a good
cause, we should comply. I hear you. I hear where you’re coming
from and yes Christians should have a Christ like attitude when we
are faced with these things.
But I ask you, if we
were in Hitler’s Germany, would you have continued to comply even
when the rules told you not to obey God? No of course not. You would
have stood your ground. Now I ask you this. Is it our place to
condemn our fellow Christians who are only following their
conscience? What about when we can’t even do what God has made us
to do? Breath fresh air and meet with others? Those are God given
things that He put within us. Needs actually. What are some other
things that just aren't right, but we’ve grown use to accepting
them? Things that aren't really normal?
Take a minute to think about that.
And think about
this. The Government officials are put in office by vote by us, the
people. They are put there to represent the people, and to do as the
people would want the government to run the land. And suddenly we
have them acting as dictators. Turning on us. They do not treat us
with respect. They treat us like naughty little children who don’t
know how to behave. Well, I’m an adult and I know with the God
given brain I’ve been given when to stay home and when it’s OK
for us to go out. That’s a God given discernment he’s given us.
Yes I know we are to
respect our governing authorities. Romans 13: 1-14 is very clear on
that. But to not challenge them when they are wrong, is also wrong.
In a land were our government has been set up by the people, for the people, we have
a responsibility before God to hold them to account. God has given
each of us boundaries to which we are to respect. My boundaries
around me are to protect me from outsiders. If someone doesn't
respect my boundaries and violates me in any way, I have not only the
right but the duty to push back and say no to abuse.
And that is where
this whole thing has gotten really tricky. Yes we need to be careful
and consider others health and do our best to get through this. BUT,
we are also not to allow abuse. That is never acceptable in any
circumstance.
So, I would say,
what is the Christians response to all this? Because this is becoming
persecution. And it will get worse as the days go on. Oppression is
from the enemy, never from God. God commands us to not forsake the
assembling of ourselves. Satan will do anything to disrupt that and
bring a stop to it. Therefore it is persecution from the enemy. We
wrestle not against flesh and blood.
First Pray. Pray and
Pray.
Because we wrestle
not against flesh and blood. There really is a darkness with this.
Its very real and I feel it. So pray.
Second. Educate
ourselves. The Justice Centre for constitutional freedom is fighting
for us. Go to their website and read up on our rights and why these C
rules should not be in place. Don’t just listen to the main stream
media. They are only giving one narrative. Propaganda is nothing new.
There are more conservative news outlets out there that can help
give a more balanced view and a fuller picture. Whenever there is a
‘fight’ or controversy of any kind we know it’s best to get
both sides of the story. That still apples in this case too.
Research the great
reset. It is a thing and it is happening. Understand the times we
live in and why people are fighting for their freedoms or just to
keep their small business open.
It’s not selfish
to want our freedoms. That’s a bold faced lie we’re being
conditioned to accept.
Those people who
have lost their job, or livelihood and are facing poverty and are
protesting against the lock downs are not selfish. They have the
right and responsibility to themselves and their families they are
trying to provide for, to push back and say no. The Government has
crossed these peoples boundary lines and the abuse has got to stop.
Their cries will not go unnoticed before God Almighty who says he
will bring justice to the oppressed, poor and afflicted. And if God
will fight for those who are poor and oppressed, then as Christians
who are trying to be Christ like, we too should fight for them. That
is not selfish.
It’s never selfish
to fight for one’s freedom. If it is, then our founding fathers
were selfish. What about Paul using his Roman citizenship to say, no
you can’t treat me this way, I’m a Roman. Was he selfish? No he
pushed back at the abuse.
The lines have
become so muddled because it’s all in the name of health. But abuse
is abuse and we should never justify it. They need to find another
way to deal with this C.V. and not mistreat people.
But our P.M. doesn't
care if the economy fails. He has stated as much when he talked about
bringing in the great reset and that this pandemic was an opportune
time to do so. They want it to fail. They can’t bring in the reset
unless the economy fails. And it won’t just be the economy they
redo, it will be every aspect of our lives they will change. You can
look this up at the World Economic Form website. It’s all laid out
there. This is no conspiracy theory. They really are planning to do
it. And in light of that. What is the Christians response to rights
and freedoms? Should we continue to be ‘selfish’?
Was it selfish for
the slaves to run for freedom? Was it selfish for the Jews to want to
live? Was it selfish for the pilgrims to want freedom to worship
according to their conscience?
No of course not.
We should fight for
freedom. It’s not just for me the individual. It’s for our
neighbour, it’s for those people that are losing their livelihood
and for the children and our children’s children. Socialism is here
folks and it’s not pretty. And it’s not going away when the
pandemic is over. (The fight against internet regulations. The
firearm concerns. The vac passports. We can go on and on. It’s no
coincidence)
What should our
response be to the cries of those who now find themselves in poverty?
Oh sure the
government has given handouts. But no self-respecting person wants or
should be dependant on the government.
Have compassion.
(and the fruits of the spirit).
There has been
people that are un-moving and uncaring towards the people who can’t
get a medical exemption to wearing masks, and yet they CANT wear
them. I know someone who always got sick every time they had to wear
it. And we need to have
compassion for those who have health concerns and need to be careful
and are afraid of the C.V.
We have to have a
balance of caring for those on both sides.
All this judging of
one another is only dividing more.
Which is exactly
what Satan wants.
So PRAY and PRAY
again. Ask God if your church should be open or underground or what
they should do. Only God should be
telling you what you and your church should be doing. No one else.
Not even the government.
This really is
Spiritual warfare. Open your spiritual eyes. Suit up in the Armour of
God.
Micah 6:8 “He has
shown you, o man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of
you. But to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your
God.”
Isaiah 1:17 “Learn
to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the
fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”
Proverbs 29: 7 “A
righteous man knows the rights of the poor; a wicked man does not
understand such knowledge.”
Proverbs 14: 31
“Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is
generous to the needy honours him.”
Luke 11: 42 “But
woe to you pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and
neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done,
without neglecting the others.”
Jeremiah 22:3 “Thus
says the Lord: Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the
hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or
violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor
shed innocent blood in this place.”
Deuteronomy 15:7 “If
among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your
towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you
should not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor
brother.”
1 Tim2:1-4 “I
exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, and
intercession be made for all men; for kings and for all that are in
authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all
godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight
of God our Saviour; who will have all men to be saved and to come
unto the knowledge of the truth.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray
and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear
from heaven and will forgive their sin ad heal their land.”
Hebrews 10:23-25
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;
(for he is faithful that promised) And let us consider one another to
provoke unto love and to good works.
“Not forsaking the
assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but
exhorting one another: and so much the more as you see the day
approaching.”
Disclaimer.: I am a
very passive complement person for the most part. I do not like to
argue or get into fights. But as I’ve done research on what is
happening globally politically, and in our own country I am alarmed.
And I can not stay silent.
I am also a history
buff. And what is happening here in our country under the name ‘for
the good of us all’ is all too familiar to history. I would brush
it off if I didn’t know that socialism and communism is taking
over. Our freedoms really are at stake and to ignore it and do
nothing is very dangerous. We've become complacent. We’ve convinced
ourselves that this will all go away soon. During WW2 the people in
Germany did nothing at first. They were so happy to have the
government solve their economic problems, and then they were sorry
they didn’t speak out when they could. So pray and Ask God to do a
working, in our land and in our hearts.
